One of the first test subjects of the T-Virus Umbrella used were dogs, Dobermans to be exact. B.O.W. number MA-39 or Cerberus was the result. The dogs’ skin was severely deteriorated; revealing flesh and bone. Yet their abilities and senses were all heightened. Cerberus provided a cheap and effective B.O.W., Cerberus is very versatile fierce.

During the outbreak at the Arklay lab the Cerberus’ escaped and began to hunt for food, meaning humans. The STARS group came into contact with the Cerberus dogs many times; sometimes the dogs would sneak up and pounce on them by coming through a certain window unexpectedly.

Eventually other dogs would become infected with the T-virus, while not necessary a designed B.O.W., they had all the same attributes as the Cerberus. These zombie dogs spread like mad all across Raccoon City during the virus outbreak. Wherever an outbreak occurs there is bound to be a Cerberus waiting.
