Much like the Grave Digger, the Gulp Worm is a giant worm monster that burrows itself underground and attacks its prey by springing to the surface. Manipulating worm DNA with the T-virus created this giant monstrosity. The Gulp Worm has the ability to swallow a human whole, thus the name “Gulp” worm.

The managers of Rockfort Island let the worm loose in a controlled area. They used the worm for practice for Anti-B.O.W. trainees. Claire encountered one of these loose Gulp Worms and fended it off. Later that day Chris encountered the same creature, this time the Worm ate the guard Rodrigo, an angry Chris dispatched the beast.
