Not even insects are immune to the effects of the T-virus; a colony of wasps became infected by the T-virus at the Arklay outbreak. The wasps grew to enormous sizes and each had massive stingers that carried poisonous venom as well as the T-virus. STARS members found the hive of wasps and were able to destroy it using bug spray. While short-lived, the wasps posed a serious threat.
