Ah, thanks. We now have confirmation that Morikawa will be voicing him in SF X Tekken and the voice in the trailer was a mere placeholder.

I have about 4 favorites, to hard to pick one so I'll flip a coin as suggested.

Para-Medic from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (and Portable Ops).

She's a really cute, sweet, caring girl, and she loves movies and I love that she loves movies lol. She's really obsessed with them and she also never shuts up, she's a huge chatterbox. But I like that. Her and Snake's conversations in MGS3 were always so funny and awesome, and I loved how Snake always tried to gross her out and get the best reactions from her, just like a boy in the playground lol. It was obvious that there was something going on there between them lol, she even asked him on a date I believe (To the movies of coarse  ), I spent hours trying to find all her conversations on the codec. The chemistry between them was top notch and really made MGS3 that much more awesome for me, one of my favorite games ever. Even though I don't like portable games, the ability to canonically play as Para-Medic in portable ops was to awesome to pass up. She's like the only character other than Raiden and Snake's to be playable canonically in the series I believe which is so cool (there may have been more as well in PO but I can't remember).

While I was searching for pics I found this. If MGS3 was set today, Para and Snake go on their date to watch a film Hideo Kojima is a big fan of. Remember Snake hates vampires, but Para loves them. I lol'd.

Yeah, keep your SSFIV overbalancing syndrome out of my Marvel Tres.

So I( went back to mvc2 the other day and it looks like Mugen,

It pretty much always was. xD At the core it is just a game of a bunch of sprites from other games thrown together, so no big surprise there.
Yeah but it was just such a weird experience, it never felt so off before.
:rcg: :wtf:

Correction, you've never felt so off. Game is fine.

Because, and I mean no offense to you, MvC3 has something called "balance". People can actually use and do well with the characters they like instead of having to use stupid Magneto or Storm to win consistently.

And MvC2 had way more broken aspects than 3 could ever dream to, but eh I won't go into that argument again.

Balance and using any character you like in a competitive manner is great, I agree, but that's about all it has going for it in comparison.

Before replying with haste, please read what I have to write... and then read it again. I'm not argumentative in the least as you know, but do feel you should try and listen considering your experience with the game. You simply can not argue a games intricacies without understanding it's complexities . Most of what makes MvC2 broken makes it great.

Let the character selection die for a moment as there are many other fighters that have just as bad if not worse balance. Even without excusing that fact, you can in fact win with virtually anybody. If you don't believe me search Vidness, he definitely can scrape high level players with an abundance of random characters. It just takes more time and effort because you have to lay your own groundwork, not follow one that has been paved and trampled already. That aside, having a top eight or so does not destroy the games competitiveness. Look at SFII along with a ton of other fighters, quite a few are still around. Same story here.

Let's use X-Factor comeback crutches as an example. Does it really feel good to get a LV3 because you were LOSING, only to come back with health, speed and power buffs and chip someone away? Sorry, but I'll take a MvC2 comeback with Psylocke or Mags any day. This is something that is highly unlikely and takes actual execution and mind games to outwit your opponent, not something that was handed to you on a silver platter (for losing nonetheless).

And please, do not say stupid Mags as if he's picked because he's easy to win with. You do not understand a fraction of the execution it takes to play a character such as MvC2 Mags. (For that we have Cable and such, Team Scrub.) Thing is, every character in MvC3 can do much more than Mags with about 1% of the execution and skill; that's why so many people love the game, sad but true. Personally, I enjoy it for what it is. I actually do like the game. But to compare it to MvC2 is a complete joke.

Let's be honest here. At the end of the day people simply could not get good at MvC2, because they either lacked skill or refused to put in the intense amount of training to get to a decent level. I find that to be a turn on, because it strengthens the skill gap, thus making games more competitive. I can also understand why someone may not enjoy this, but without understanding it's depth, there is no room for criticism.

Trust me, I could barely do a hypergrav from one side when I started MvC2. I wasn't even a scrub, just someone completely new to the scene in general. I was horrid. But instead of running from the games intense level of execution, I embraced it. With that comes the beatings in various arcades, but I learned from each and every one (instead of running online and making "I am cry" threads like most of the kids do nowadays). Some learn faster than others, but eventually anyone and everyone can get it. Simply put, 99% of the people who hate on MvC2 simply don't understand it, or are not able to.

To end this conversation, I don't find chipping someone to death with eighteen buffs handed to me for sucking to be competitive or fun. I do however find strict execution and an ungodly amount of luck in an insane comeback to be noteworthy and even hype worthy. If the latter doesn't excite you then marvel THREE is for you, exclusively. Mahvel Baybee will always get the respect it deserves, that's why it has been around as long as it has. It's track record really says it all.

I have officially added Doom to my main team. Trish/Dormammu/Doom is awesome and Doom is way better than Frank on point, he has a lot of the versatility I love about Trish. And while I'm still not amazing at it, I actually learned how to do a basic launch, OTG, relaunch, OTG, relaunch etc. combo with him. I still have a lot of work to do to learn him better but I am really really loving Doom right now.

And his Molecular Shield assist runs really well with my team. Trish covers the air and shield covers ground and it just works together really well. Also works pretty well for Dorm too to cover him as he stocks spells or while he's casting one.

And purification Assist is pretty good from Dorm when Doom is on point, so long as you time it and set it up properly, else Dorm gets punished hardcore.

I still have my Trish/Dorm/Frank team but right now I'm focusing on maining the Doom team.

Natsu is very good, far from busted or in a tier of her own though. Besides, it's much too early yet to make such rash claims. Funny because this is nothing new, SCII Taki (or even SCIII/IV, just not to the same extent) in the right hands is a problem and always consists of overwhelming pressure. As always, when scrubs are pressured they simply don't understand it nor try to figure it out. Sad thing is, Japanese Calibur forums are discussing strategies while many others are crying for nerfs two days into the game. These are the people that waste a spot in the community sadly.

Allow me to conjure up some older examples as to what made Taki so good and why players have to relax in regards to Natsu, at least this early into the game.

Some things not present in SCV that made SCII Taki an amazing character:

⋅ PO cancelable by using EXC super cancel
⋅ A and B strings could be canceled into each other and consisted of three hits, the third being able to be canceled into anything including PO stance
⋅ Priority of her normals
⋅ 8 B+K was very good

Again, there is so much more as to why she is good, but I'd have to write a novel. Specifically, these are a few points not quite present in SCV that directly apply to her up close pressure game.

In direct comparison, Natsu's PO is unsafe though she does have more options (outside of cancelling) to mix up. Her exorcism is about the same speed, though far less safe. Her B normals have far less priority and get stuffed on most occasions, not to mention her BBB cancel the third B mix up is gone as she can only do BB now. BK PO replaces it and BB4A+BA to cancel makes it "safer." Needless to say, her normal pressure into PO's up close are severely nerfed.

Also her 8 B+K is just flat out bad. While Taki's was a hard roll and her position was reflective, Natsu's is an instant transmission. This sounds like a buff as it removes the roll animation, but the teleport is not instant and instead of her position being reflected on screen, she stays in front of the enemy (prone to being hit) until the teleport is complete.

A good Taki in SCII was amazing, to the point I pinned her as the best character in the game based on my own tournament winnings (CTF weeklys, The Break occasionally). Laughably, she was considered upper mid tier . Now, this direct comparison in no way covers the tools Natsu has over SCII Taki (as there are many), though I'm trying to get across two main points. SCII Taki had the same effect of dominance in the right hands and was considered mid tier, she was beatable. Players simply need to learn how to and complaining day two is not the way. Second, I still think SCII Taki has a better pressure game at the highest potential level with many more 'make it safe' options. So if this character wasn't bitched at, Natsu is not the place to start.

As far as Natsu herself, she is very good. Like I said, I could also comment on tools she has that Taki does not, but these have been covered for the most part. She can apply similar pressure and mix up (perhaps more eventually), but in a different manner with some similar flashes of the past.

In the end, less talk and more play is the way to beat anything. But I stand by my statement in that Natsu is not the place to start bitching, at least not at this point.

Well, let's put this in perspective. I went into Soul Calibur V with the goal that I was going to have a 60% win rate. I exclusively played as Pyrrha, and memorized only like 7 or 8 moves since the game was fairly new to me. My record is at 80%. And yet, my brother, who mains Natsu, consistently kicks my ass. Based on that, I'd say Natsu is definitely a top-tier candidate.
Unlike Capcom, I hope Namco doesn't listen to the tripe written in that quote box. No comment, haha. These are the people who just need to go away.

I so called this, back when the 1st trailer was released, I posted that Ada had to been the "Bitch" that Chris was referring to.

I'm surprised everyone is forgetting you actually did find the guns in RE5 outside of the elite stuff like the hydra.

All the guns were in the levels though. The only difference was that if you you didn't pick it up in the level it would "unlock" for purchase when you beat that level it was in.

So 5 did actually cater to both styles wheras 4 relied mostly on you buying guns rather than finding them.

Obligatory VF5:FS discussion time.

Got the base game for $15 and bought customization pack 1 so far for another $15. Can't afford pack 2 at the moment but I'll get it next paycheck since Jacky was in 2 and Brad in 1 and i wanted both and figured I'd support Sega and VF.

Anyway, achievements are basically the easiest achievements I've ever seen in any game. Already killed 80% of them in the first half hour of playing. Only have 3 left to get which will be a breeze to get later on when i play again.

Game itself wise, I'm not a fan of the new soundtrack. I like the old one better. Switched it back to VF5 so I can have Aurora theme play properly and not that new crappy generic one.

Brad's as badass as ever though they changed up quite a few of his moves that I used to heavily used and now I either can't find them or I've noticed they're limited and altered now.

Before you used to be able to do a slip back into a fake out punch at will, now it seems you can only do it during a combo. I used to catch a lot of people off guard with the slip fake and hit them as I dodged back and they tried to push forward. Shame i can't use it anymore like that. A lot of Brad's gameplay with his slips and dodges makes him very tricky and that was part of it.

Also noticed i can't seem to do his double knee launchers anymore. It looks like they just combined it into a basic double knee combo kick. But it doesn't have the same impact, strength, setup or feel. Rather than slip into one powerful knee launch into another. Now he kinda just does a quick double knee combo on command without a slip. It's pretty basic and no where near as useful because you can't slip into it.

A lot of his BnB stuff works just like it did before but some of it changed a lot too. Some for the better, some not so much. I love the guy and really enjoy playing him still. But, it's gonna take some time to adapt to these changes because there was some solid stuff I used to heavily use in my game before that's just flat out gone now and I need time to adapt and find replacements.

Still a fun game overall. Shame the ps3 version seems to have the bigger crowd this time around though.

Still downloading customization pack 1 though. It's taking foreeeeeeeeeever. Can't wait to dick around with it though. Always loved the customization options in 5 and FS adds so much more. Customizing characters is one of my fav past times in any game.

Calling the possible existence of God crap is also offensive to some believers. So can we refrain from insulting period.

Anyway, anyone here openly date both sexes?

There is a fine difference between me just stating what I believe VS. TRYING to convince others to follow my belief. I mention God and such because it's my belief, but last time I checked I just spent the past 11 pages of posts defending homosexuality and NOT trying to convince others to follow my way of thinking. Even if you chose to post about disbelief and all that crap, I don't care. I don't intend to debate with you on the subject because I can care less what you think. Not trying to sound crude, but I really just don't care lol.

Has nothing to do with "trying". Your religious beliefs are completely 100% irrelevant to this topic, therefore you should leave them at the door. My point is that bringing your religious beliefs up steers the topic in a direction it should not go in. If you don't care, stop talking about it. You are free to make a separate topic for it.

Actually, it was relevant considering all of DreaDeath's religious nonsense. Jacko was doing nothing more than providing an alternate point of view using religion in a more stable context to disparrage dread's claims.

Basically the equivalant of:

Dread: I'm religious and i hate gays because it's against my religion!

Jacko: I'm religious too and i don't hate them at all or even think it's a huge deal for my religion.

That's all he was honestly doing.
