Post subject: No Hope Left maps

This older entry here, of the No Hope blog: http://www.nohopeleft.com/are-the-places-connected would suggest there is something beyond the connected points of the map that form a pentacle. I went ahead and found the points of interest first, before conducting my own research on the placement of these areas.

http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2115/mapwithcities.png

So the 5 points, London, Berlin, Serbia, Morocco and Cairo form a pentacle. That much is known. So I went all crazy Sherlock Holmes-style, and decided my best bet was to start connecting cities, to see if I could catch anything else. Alot of the red lines were drawn without a purpose necessarily, but I did try to connect the colored points together. This is the map from that experiment:

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/5844/pentagon.png

In whole it forms a pentagon, even every pentacle that comes from interconnections is a pentagon. What's so significant about a pentagon? Well, it could be referring to The Pentagon, of the United States.

This is a snippet of Frederic Downing's file that references the Pentagon (from Project Umbrella):

In 2002, Downing joined WilPharma, another giant pharmaceutical company, after erasing his past. That same year, he disguised himself as a black market broker and approached General Miguel Grande of the Republic of Bajirib, who was supporting a terrorist group in India. He sold the t-virus to the General, sparking a bioterrorism incident in India and setting the stage for his ‘demonstration’ which resulted in a private contract between WilPharma and the Pentagon.

And well, we've already seen that President Graham is involved with the plot in RE6; he proposes to release long-awaited information on the Raccoon City incident, and then gets infected, because someone decided it was best that nothing was released at all, most likely. I theorize that Helena Harper feels she is responsible for the outbreak because she may have been tasked with covering the information connecting the Pentagon to these incidents(working for a military agency after all). It may have not been her fault entirely if she was blackmailed into doing so; she doesn't come across as the kind of individual that would have enjoyed covering it up.

Also, those middle areas of pentacle 1 and 2 are Austria and the Western Africa area, where Kijuju was supposedly located. The center of the pentacles probably arent really significant at all, I just did it for fun. As for the colors of the pointers on the map, I haven't figured that out yet unless it is pertaining to the type of outbreaks or the individuals traveling to these locations. Let me know if you can find any more pentacles or points of interest between these connected lines. :)

I think as a fanbase, it seems that we've become very spoiled(or accustomed) over the last few years, getting all of these games, tie-ins, movies etc. in such a short amount of time, versus the wait that used to be imposed upon us.

I mean, we should be very grateful that this franchise has received so much attention(if not for money alone) in recent times; but it has also made us very demanding and impatient in the end. Not necessarily our fault due to loose ends or other factors making us feel that we haven't been fed our fill, but we go even a year with little in the way of information or interaction with Biohazard and its like going through a withdrawal sometimes.

I guess that's why it's good there are supplemental materials provided to keep us hunting for information to explain the webs and clusterfucks in plot, but only to a certain degree. Oh, what will we ever do, eh?

That's dissapointing. I want explenations about Rachel mutation, various Ooze mutations, why Norman can teleport, etc...
I believe the explanation for Norman's teleportation ability can be drawn from beta enemy concepts of Resident Evil 5. These creatures could exude a gas or vapor from their bodies that would allow for "illusions". Norman releases a purple vapor from the area under the main eye, when performing the teleportation or "clone" attack. I would think that in actuality, Norman is not literally doing these actions, but creating the visual effect that he is, while moving very fast, thus confusing the target.

The variant of Ooze might be based on the level of resistance and the manner in which they've been infected.

Also, lol:

Actually now that I think about it, with someone previously mentioning the mercenary sounding like Troy Baker; Troy and Laura Bailey(VA for DSC Sherry) had an interview(for FFXIII-2) around the beginning of this month, where they mention they are working on another game together coming soon, but do not mention the title.

Not sure if this could really be considered Biohazard news as the teaser site is vague;
but Capcom, Namco Bandai and Sega are collaborating on a 3DS game together that seems to be quite horror-related or even possibly about a biohazard.

Capcom(RE/DR), Namco(various RPGs and occasionally collabs with Capcom) and Sega(Phantasy Star Online) huh? Could this turn out to be an rpg horror game with a multi-player aspect?

A Tumblr for the enigmatic user of the IVY hoodie auction, FireFish2012 has shown up:

(I can't seem to access it, even when logged in. Says request denied.)
LeechCharmer from The-Horror provided a picture of a letter likely obtained from the tumblr:

French thread, where someone who has purchased(probably the most recent set) the card game says that it states a new date of October the 2nd for RE6. Can't take their word yet though, until official confirmation, but I wouldn't doubt that it would be pushed ahead just a tiny bit.

IGN One absolute that they have written is that the scientist thought to be Alex Wesker is in fact not , but Derek Simmons, a National Security Advisor .
This would probably explain the one shot with the armed guys in suits standing along with him in China. His connection is obviously important, and maybe something about the Organization can be drawn from him.

Christ, more new characters. Well, there had hopefully be an Alex Wesker somewhere. Perhaps they are saving his identity for last. But even still when I read this:
Hiroyuki Kobayashi: If you are a fan, it just adds that much more to your understanding of those characters, but you don’t need a knowledge of the previous games to enjoy the story in this game.
If we’re going to be doing all of these stories, I want them to be something anyone can jump in and enjoy without a previous knowledge of the series.
However, there’s still stuff in there for fans. If you know these characters and you’ve played the games there will be stuff for you to enjoy. Those people will be able to chuckle to themselves and say ‘Ah! I know what’s that’s about’. But even if you don’t know the minutiae of previous games you’ll still be able to enjoy the story.
Brand new fans will probably know nothing about Alex Wesker or the Wesker Children if they haven't touched RE5/Lost in Nightmares. I mean it's nice to want to bring more fans into the series, but hopefully it's not done while sacrificing important subject matter that needs to be wrapped up from the previous games. I mean, you couldn't do that with a series of books. "Resident Evil Book#6:New readers: You don't need to start at the first book to understand anything! Old readers: We'll just throw in a few easter eggs for you."

I'd rather just see a nod to Jill in the end or have her make a cameo should something ill happen to Chris. If we can't have some sort of semblance of Claire in this game, Chris could atleast mention her for once if Sherry doesn't get around to reflecting on the past in any way. I wouldn't be surprised if such a memory omitted Claire for Leon.(Didn't even mention her on Sherry's site profile after all)

But if we consider post-RE2/RE3 events, then yes, Leon has more significance in Sherry's story.

Posted by ElusionM from THIA, clips of gameplay from all three character demos:

I noticed the HUDs showing up in this vs. the E3 gameplay, and they are fashioned different per character. How odd...

Oh looks like JokerJo posted an HD capture of the gameplay, so disregard mine:

A limited edition RE6 headlamp (that was supposedly given to only 3 people during E3 2012) is being made available to win, by sending your information(impression of product, name, address, age, gender and telephone number) through to the Hagitoko facebook page or e-mail: hagitoko@capcom.co.jp

Deadline is July 2nd, 23:59 (Japan time, of course). Winner will probably be announced through the Capcom's Hagi Toko web show.
