Whether if it were the original or remake version of the mansion doesn't matter here. If the Resident Evil 1 mansion were real would you visit or live there if you had the opportunity to? I would, and I don't care if it's night or storming outside, or I hear creepy movements. I love the mansion and I would love to feel what it was like to be in it.

CAPCOM actually had two theme park rides with a faithful reconstruction of the mansion. "BIOHAZARD Nightmare" and "BIOHAZARD The Experience". Reportedly, BHN reduced a lot of people to tears and ended up being shut down for simply being too scary.

I would love it... and I wouldn't mind bringing along some friends of mine ;D... I would personally stay in the room with the shotgun (I would sleep on the couch)... and unlike the retards that were in stars... I would shoot some of the locks, never go to the second floor canopy, carry a Mauser C96 and a M1911 (ACP is better than 9 mill) and I would be sure to never say "jill Sadvich and master of unlocking"
