I downloaded the BYOND installer. Installed your game and it doesn't run, how are people supposed to play this shit?

Better get a competent coder to work for your project, otherwise, you're just wasting your and everyone else's time.

Ummm iquick question... how long do you wait for it to come up?.... it takes a while to load everything... especially the sounds... also I've been coding for 6 years... also it seems to run just fine for the byond reviewers...

Alright, I'm going to assume that these are former Umbrella employees who for various reasons want to destroy all remnants of Umbrella and ensure that it doesn't come back. I don't know what specific reasons would motivate them, probably guilt over their own activities and involvement in the company or personal reasons, who knows.

Thing is, there are already organisations that exist within the narrative of the series that work towards the elimination of Umbrella's bioweapon legacy, e.g. the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team of U.S. STRATCOM, etc. Why introduce yet another group to the mix? Your best bet would be to use existing organisations rather than add something new that plays the exact same role.

Which leads to my next question, given the serious nature of an outbreak and having learnt lessons from what happened in Raccoon City, surely the U.S. government would have more of an involvement? What is the military involvement? What government actions are being taken by the current administration? It sounds like you've just thrown in names based on the fact that you think they sound "cool" or "quirky" without any real thought or consideration into what they'll be used for.

In closing, my last point is - Why would Project Umbrella intentionally release a virus when their goal is to promote a positive image for themselves? Here's how I would have done things, I'd have had the outbreak be caused by a terrorist attack as that's a popular word these days and the most feasible. This absolves Project Umbrella of any wrongdoing, making them appear to be victims like anyone else, or possibly not even involved. At which point you THEN add some levels of intrigue, like who supplied these terrorists with bioweapons? Or whether or not it was even this terrorist group who carried out the attack to begin with. You've got to make your audience think, make them question things. Do they accept the outbreak as being a terrorist attack at face value, or do they suspect that someone else is pulling the strings from behind the scenes?

You can't simply stand up and say "Hey, these guys leaked the virus but they're trying to improve their image!" because it's such a ridiculous contradiction. If you want people to like you, deploying a virus in a major population centre is generally not the way to go about it. You can still have them as an antagonistic force but they would have to be incredibly subtle about how they carry out their actions, they need to avoid suspicion. Or maybe they hide in the shadows and don't officially exist, like the Illuminati or something.

Who knows, it's your story. I'm just giving you some pointers.

the answer to your first question is that im trying not to rely on the main series as much (its supposed to be in an alternate continuity than the original RE games... and because too much stuff that relates to RE and Capcom will come a knockin)

2nd. The US government has chosen to try to contain the Infection rather than Nuke the whole city (ok so they didnt nuke it... they bombed the hell out of it)... and they do have shelters built for this exact reason... its just that even when they are prepared certain things dont go as planned....

3rd. wait a possitive image? i just said they wanted to rebuild Umbrella. well not completely rebuild it but more or less add in some new ideas... ahh screw it... ima just use your idea mainly because i was reading about something similiar to that senario... (Naoki Urasawa's book called 20th Century Boys) and actually im going to have The Friends as PJU's Scapegoat... (aka the Terrorists)

ohh and another thing Spense.... why not write the story for the game since i suck at writing decent ones...(would save me alotta time so that i can focus on the coding of the game) but i do wanna keep the russian mafia, and the cults... everything else can be open season ;D
