Seems strange, thought we had a topic on this one.

Anyway, there's an extended cam video of the clip showed at E3 here, skip to six minutes in for the newer stuff.

Looks really nice, but i can't shake the image of Alone In The Dark, looks too similar to me at the moment!

I've been interested on this title since it was first shown. Looks pretty nice, but like you say, it worries me it might turn out like Alone In The Dark. The PS3 version was fixed but there never was a patch for the 360 version, so I just sold it. I tried to adapt to the weird controls but after a few playthroughs I couldn't stand it anymore.

Eden made all the right noises about the game pre-release. I was totally sucked in, it looked incredible. Then it released...and Jesus Christ. I'm actually talking worst game ever level bulllshit, and i actually expected it to surpass RE4 at one point!

Then they seemed to take all the criticisms onboard, and they said they were going to patch it for 360 owners. Did they shit. Terrible, think it's the only time i've wished a developer go bust.

I must have played Ps3's patched version. What exactly did it "fix" for AitD?

Primarily it was stuff like the millions of bugs and glitches. For example, the car chase, you could randomly hit the smallest piece of debris on the road and be sent miles into the sky, or better yet, you'd stop dead in your tracks as if it were a titanium wall!

The controls were patched too to bring them in-line more with normal third person games, and they ditched the real time inventory for making up your own weapons.

There's bound to be a ton of other stuff too that i'm forgetting, these are just off the top of my head.

Interesting.

Inferno was the name of the patch, correct? I remember specifically hitting an invisible wall, amongst nicking small edges that would send the car spiraling like a Frisbee or turning me around 180 degrees. I experienced freezing a lot, too. I still enjoyed some aspects of the title, though.

I'm not equipped for Alan Wake, but I'll still be watching from the background. If the title ends up being whoop-worthy, I may just pick up a 360.

Alan Wake looks like it could be either very good or very bad. Ill wait until the reviews to see if it's good though.

Alan Wake is easily the one of the only games im interested to play on the 360 sometime. I hope it turns out well. Although admittedly I really dont know much about the game besides thinking its along the lines of Heavy Rain or Alone in the Dark.

It's been on my wanted list for ages. It's on Xbox 360.

I've never heard of this game before so thank u Stu for posting this.
Just visited the official website of Alan Wake and some gameplay videos on Gametrailers, hell this game looks awesome, creeepy atmosphere, interesting story, and well balanced gameplay (neither too much action nor excessively slow like Silent Hill).

It's funny how enemies (those woodmans) remind me a lot RE4's ganados.
