Wasn't this the game where you'd be running around asking people about serial killers and the music was nothing but weird hillbilly whistling stuff? Hilarious times.

It was! Lol

It has Twin Peaks influence all over it too.

Would you guys recommend Deadly Premonition?
I've heard conflicting things about it.

I liked Alan Wake. It got repetitive, though.
Some more enemy variety would have been nice. American Nightmare was better in that regard.

I absolutely love Deadly Premonition man.
Its one of those 'either you love it or hate it' therefore it got the constant mix of critic/user reviews of either very high scores or low scores.

if you love Twin Peaks you have no choice buddy!

here's a trailer to get you started.
it's for the best version out there, the full Director's cut.

phpBB [video]

it does have lack of enemy variety too but the boss fights are varied.

Well I guess that goes on the list, then!
The style looks cool.
Campy, but cool.

I've not played this in years, but it's kind of like Silent Hill, with way better graphics.

The premise to Alan Wake is similar to Silent Hill, but the latter is superior in regards to atmosphere, scares, etc.

Once I realized you needed to get batteries constantly, i said fuck it. I stopped playing Outlast for the same reason.

Batteries are more like ammo in AW.

You don't NEED to use them either, as the flashlight recharges.
