Tearing seems to be the only tangible difference, and if that bothers you, the PS3 version is the way to go since it has none. Otherwise, flip a coin

Looks like the challenge mode demo is up in Japan.

I played the demo tonight, I have to say I didn't think I was going to like it from the trailers and such. I thought there would be too much going on at one time with the controls, but I was pleasantly surprised. I shall definitely be picking this up when it releases.

Challenge mode was definitely not easy for me. I think people who crave old school difficulty will be pleasantly surprised.

Was there something I was missing when scrolling through the very short menu? I didn't see anything about a challenge mode?
