I'm quite curious regarding this, which is the easiest RE game you guys played?
Mine, Resident Evil 2. Never had any trouble with this game even after not playing it for a whole year or even more... Is RE2 really that easy or I'm just too familiar with it?

I'm not sure...

I have played these enough that none of them are difficult anymore. But for a first time thing, CV and 0 definitely don't apply as candidates for me.

Definitely the first RE or the Directors Cut. Everyone always talks about 2 being the easiest. I dont disagree that it is easy, I just think that there are more ways to get lost your first way through the RPD than the Spencer Mansion. I also think that the enemies are slightly more dangerous in 2 than in 1. Can I run through 2 faster? Yes. But first time playing, I would say RE2 is harder than the original.

RE4 was the easiest to me. I can still play it without problems

I almost said RE4. But Professional mode with no upgraded or special weapons and no Special 2 costume set is still a challenge sometimes, even if you know what your'e doing.

The temptation to use Ashley armor is too strong for me.

Code Veronica is definitely far from easy during our first time

Even during my first time, RE2 was pretty easy. Plenty of ammo, not too complicated boss fights... It was overall an easier game when compared to its predecessor for me.
It's great to see different perspectives here.

It is easier when compared to 5, 6 and the Revelations titles for sure. The easiest modern day title, I agree.

Your memory may be hazy on this one. The Director's Cut "Arrange" mode stands as the most difficult in the entire series, in part due to the higher and random enemy HP. For example, both in the original and DC, hunters can randomly have much higher HP and can decapitate you even if you're at full health.

The first game also does made you think about ammo conservation as it's fairly limited compared to the other two PS1 games. It's very well thought out really and made better in the remake.

RE2 throws so much ammo at you that you can kill everything in the game from start to finish, and still end up with a lot of ammo. Back in the day, it was not an uncommon complaint that RE2 took the action route compared to the original (and Kamiya seriously thinks of it as that). The game's pacing is also more streamlined overall. CV is equally easy, but that one had some pacing issues that made it artificially difficult. However, RE2 has Nightmare mode (which is no picnic) on PC and DC so CV gets my vote as the easiest overall.

The Tyrant fight in CV was a pain though. And running away from giant Steve felt impossible without spare health.

It was, thanks to a pacing issues. You just needed to keep a certain type of ammo on hand but most people struggled the first time around. The Steve part was just cheap and the final boss fight remains the worst in the series as far as I'm concerned.
