Capcom have this morning announced they'll soon be releasing a demo of Resident Evil: Revelations for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Nintendo eShop.

No date was confirmed, but it's known that players will control Jill Valentine as she begins her search of Queen Zenobia ship where much of the game is based.

Cool, I don't care myself that much because I played a lot the 3DS game, but it should be good to get some people interested in the game.

As things stand, the only thing the demo could do is convince me not to buy the game. I'm all in and can't really see the demo doing much wrong to make me change my mind.

What with the trend lately of releasing the demo like 2 or 3 weeks before the game is scheduled to come out? I mean sure I'll probably download and play it, but there's a part of me that's thinking why bother to waste the space on my hd and just wait the week or so until the full game comes out.

Personally I can't wait for this to get here, I was tired of straining my eyes on that little ass screen, I was just curious in general about the question above.

Well, what I meant was why not release it a month or two before release?

It's nice to be able to unlock the full game on release day and play it immediately since you've already got the demo. Especially for people like me with download speeds >500 kb/s.

Some demo's are just demo's though. Aka not the entire game. So an unlock key doesnt work. The recent Injustice demo is like that. So you'd still have to dl the entire game on release regardless of having the demo or not.

The only games that typically do full game unlock demo's are arcade games and such.
