He doesn't work on BH6.

I'm pretty sure Stu was being rhetorical.

What's his job on any current Resident Evil projects?

No no, there's an end game.

Just wondering what puts him in a position to tell us who's story is and isn't finished if his most notable involvement is on a title released 13 years ago.

Granted, he's still got more right to tell us what is and isn't canon than News Bot does - but it's still a flimsy claim none the less.

That's kind of why he openly stated that the information relates solely to BH3 and subsequent games take precedence over his work. He insisted on us putting up a notice about it, even. He didn't say anyone's story wasn't finished, he said he couldn't talk about it in-case it is covered in a subsequent title.

Indeed, which is why I don't. I just reiterate what CAPCOM states.

But News Bot is merely conveying the message...sort of like...Jesus?

Except it is incorrect and based on a misunderstanding. He's not at liberty to reveal things which haven't been covered yet, which is why we didn't ask him about the likes of Rebecca (which an unbelievable amount of people wanted to be asked). He was able to say Sherry is important because that's already been stated (Wesker's Report), although the specifics have not. He can't reveal what he had in mind for her until it is covered in the series itself. If she never returns, he never reveals.

It should also be noted that what he said is nothing different from what CAPCOM currently say about her. Whether or not the whole thing about the G-Virus antibodies they added into Darkside Chronicles is the reason she is important or not is unknown. We might find out in BH6, we might never find out anything.

Quote:
After escaping from Raccoon City, Sherry was placed under the protection of the U.S. Government. She's being kept safe, and is the only person in the world with a resistance to the G-Virus.

Quote:
However, it is not necessarily possible to say that it was best for her to be rescued. Because she retained the G-Virus antibody, she became a valuable person. She was protected with Leon by the U.S. Army, and was confined by the government, where she spent days being observed as a research subject.

Quote:
The daughter of William Birkin who was the developer of the G-Virus. In "Memory of a Lost City" she is protected by Leon and Claire. Her father became G, and she was pursued because of its family preservation instinct and implanted with an embryo, but she was saved by the vaccine which they obtained in the Umbrella Underground Laboratory. However, the bacteria in Sherry's body was not killed, and she was placed under observation by the United States Government as an important carrier of G. The reason why Leon works as a member the United States secret military agency is because Sherry was taken as a kind of hostage. In addition, subordinate agents of Albert Wesker are also present in the department monitoring Sherry, and she is in a doubly dangerous position.

Did you even read it Stu? It mentions very blatantly he was involved as a correspondant for Degeneration and was respinsible for providing them with detailed info on the virus' etc. His involvement with the series did not begin and end with RE3. His job is in fact to be an authority on this stuff and know what he was talking about.

And as Paul mentions he goes out of his way to state any future changes by capcom themselves as established retcons take prescendence over his version.
