It would sound more interesting to me if I already haven't played a lot of "The Mercenaries" on RE5. Never got into the Wii system anyway and the WiiU doesn't seem too appealing to me. I did make the mistake of buying the Gamecube for RE games like RE4 and Remake. What a horrible waste of money that was. I sold the system because I lost interest in getting other games for it. When RE4 hit PS2, the Gamecube felt a lot less unique and more of a burden. That's actually when I sold it.

The Gamecube is worth every penny with gems like REmake and Zero (plus a variety of other games of course). What the hell!!

I had the chance to buy Zero, but I lacked interest in that purchase due to my dislike of Rebecca. I hated her in RE1 and to have her be one of the primary characters in a game did not interest me in the slightest. After playing Remake over and over again, I burned myself out. Generally lost interest in the Gamecube. But I was glad I got the chance to re-experience the mansion again.

The Gamecube was a premature purchase I made without thinking broadly about what else I would want to get besides RE games. This is why I got rid of it. Nothing else peaked my interests.

If Resident Evil 2 was remade for the Gamecube back then, I would have kept that system forever. As that is my absolute favorite title. Remake was a good experience and I always hoped that Resident Evil 2 was going to receive the same service on the Gamecube. I was disappointed to find no plans in the works.

I'm all for this, but I agree that it needs more bulk to make it a true standalone title. Especially since this is for a larger console. If this is a real title, I wonder if RE6 will ditch Mercs for a Raid-inspired bonus mode.

Sounds like another Capcom rush release so they can have first dibs on Survival-Horror on the Wii U.

They can have it. Anything Wii related sucks.

I do think Capcom would just stop and think a sec though.
They are shitting out more Resident Evil games than
Nintendo is Mario games.

Capcopy-n'-Pastecom should be their new name.

But seriously, the only reason they've been milking Nintendo platforms out the wazoo is because its easier to port their gorram models from RE1/RE Zero/RE4 to everything ever made. And now that they have beefcake Chris and Claire's Darkside Chronicles models, they can just Frankenstein everything else they'll ever need (anyone remember how the Mercenaries 3d Alternate Costumes were? Hooray for recycling).

And they'll probably stick Krauser in at least one more game because nobody asked.

Funny. I don't seem to remember their being claims of Nintendo being milked when we were all raving about Revelations?
