Gameplay looks kind of poor in my opinion. It doesn't look polished at all and the whole thing just feels mindless and poorly-planned as if the devs made up the segments as they went along, and that's Leon's scenario which is supposed to be more of a 'classic horror'. I dread to think what Chris' scenario will turn out to be like if that's the more action packed one.

The whole thing gives me ORC vibes. The crosshairs for aiming, the cover system, the sprinting mechanic, the jumps and rolls, the bland-looking on-rail sections, dual wielding, zombies with guns, the whole mindless nature of it all. It all comes across as being kind of ridiculous. I imagine the laser sight will be in the form of a weapon upgrade rather than an option. There's literally nothing in the game that gives the impression of it being an RE release, even RE4 and RE5 still felt like RE games in some respects but RE6 doesn't at all.

There are some positives however. The classic zombies being brought back is a nice touch and a lot of the set-pieces are classic-RE nostalgia fests. The classic helicopter getting into trouble situation made me smile. The voice acting is also surprisingly good for an RE game. Overall though, I can't say I'm looking forward to the game. At this point the story is the only thing that's keeping me interested.

First off, I agree with news bot.

Zombies in the old games didn't react unless you blew them up with a shotgun. They DO react it just depends on where you hit them, obviously shooting them in the stomach doesn't make them move much but the upper arm staggers them a bit.

Secondly, this footage took place in china where the action ramps up quite a bit because it's the ending scenario. I don't know if anyone saw the Capcom demo session but they showed leon in ivy university and it was slow paced like the old games.

I liked what I saw in the mechanics, particularly from what I saw in the Chris demo. It was impressive seeing him run, jump, climb, and roll around so fluidly. This sets it apart from ORC immediately and the camera doesn't even seem to be tied to which way the character is facing. The inventory system looks fine as well.

I really like the new camera. It is exactly what I wanted, something that shows the entire character rather than just over their shoulder.

Yea the camera in ORC was part of the reason I couldn't play/like the game. I hated how close it was, like half of the freakin screen was your characters back. The positioning of the camera in RE6 is great.
