Ada's involvement was the only exciting thing about this trailer.

I'm curious to know the release date, and when this take's place on the Resident Evil timeline?

If it's after 6 then that totally spoils anything in 6 that would have the slightest hint at leon or ada not surviving. If it happens before 6 then why are they releasing it after the game comes out? Wouldn't this be perfect build up to 6.

In a packed ballroom at the con, director Makoto Kamiya answered fans questions, showed off Damnation’s trailer, and gave us a special Comic-Con peek at the beginning of the movie.

The feeling and vibe of the footage shown is classic Resident Evil. Kennedy is in a European warzone when he learns that U.S. support is being pulled for the mission. But he’s not having it, and instead, goes rogue. That means no weapons support, and extra danger. After some patented Kennedy on-liners, he is beset by an evil licker, after an atmospheric and badass battle in a dark parking garage, Kennedy ends up nearly killed by the monster... but only nearly. It seems someone has found a way to control the murderous lickers, and has one on a sort of leash. No doubt this so-far faceless licker-whisperer is the main enemy in Damnation. Like any good Comic-Con teaser video, this one does its job by making us all want more.
