Im a bit disappointed

One side of me is glad it's not the typical action-hero-pose cover and goes back to the early style of covers in the series, but since we've seen the logo for quite some time it isn't very exciting.

Edit: nowhere in the twitter post they say it's the actual cover, though. And it's funny the same image in the IGN article says "NOT FINAL BOXART"

Yeah, sorry, I was reading that soon after, might not be exactly true. I would be surprised if it was revealed to be something else at this point, at least as far as NTSC is concerned.

It's a bit boring, but I agree, much better than arbitrary-character-pose cover. Even though we may like one of those covers if they feature characters we like, it wouldn't do the game much of a favor differentiating itself amongst every other game with a gun on 360 or PS3 sitting on a shelf, cover out.

It's good they are following through with the funky number style though, consistency and uncluttered is the way to go.

Lame.

Weird, I would have thought the box art would have variants... like Europe / PAL regions with that one, North America with a more typical character focused design and Japan with whatever else is the usual design style.

Well that sucks, we still have the Limited Edition and Special Edition's covers to hope for!

Would look great on a Limited Edition Box.

I'd love to have the chance to design the covers to Resident Evil games.
