Just seen the first 3 episodes....mother of god its so good. Lots of catching up to do for me.

WOW what an episode! And next week is going to be insane. Finally, I am sick of that damn farm.

Amazing episode! Probably the best of the series. Again they go the 'Rebirth' route and follow the comic, but spice it up enough so that even readers are surprised. Excellent stuff.

One question however. The virus? What's the deal? How does it suddenly transpire differently, is it an area effect or perhaps it's evolved?

Yeah we're confused as to why Shane and the prisoner became zombies without being bitten - can't be a coincidence that they went down this path with two different characters? Can only assume for now it's something in the world's atmosphere or something. I don't see them clearing it up in next week's episode either, think they might be too busy!

Such a good episode though. This show is untouchable right now, puts me off watching any new TV shows because they just won't be able to compete.

The shock factor is amazing. It just seemed so inevitable that it'd be Rick's son who was going to pop up and shoot Shane - the moment he handed him the gun i pretty much gave up expecting anything different! Didn't expect them to off Shane until the final episode though - seems that's going to be an all out war next week.

Its a well know fact in the comics that anyone can turn into a walker after they died, even if they didnt get bit.

No sooner did I start the discussion on Into_Now about "When will Shane snap", he turns around and cracks that kids neck. And as far as the showdown went, I thought it would be Daryl or Glenn saving Ricks ass because he wouldn't shoot Shane. Cannot believe that the season is already going to be over next week, it went way too fast.

My guess, the entire group is infected with the virus aleady, only it doesn't change them until after they die (unless you take a bullet to the head like Dale, rest his soul). The bite from a walker doesn't infect you, the virus is already present in the living body.. the bite meerly causes you to die due to blood loss or poisoning. The virus is likely something airborne.

But yes, an incredible episode, didn't expect them to kill off another character so soon after Dale, much less one of the main characters. Next weeks episode is gonna be chaos... Goodbye little house on the praire, at last.

Ah! So many spoilers! I must go watch now. >=D
