Shamelessly stolen from THIA and many, MANY other forums, i thought it was time Biohaze had one of these!

Up
Watched this last week. Put it on because my boy got excited when he saw the adverts, but i was quite surprised to find probably the best animated movie i've ever seen. Hilarious in parts, utterly heart wrenching in others. Just a brilliant, beautiful film.

The Goods - Live Hard, Sell Hard
Surpassed Role Models and I Love You, Man as my comedy of the year. I'm a big Will Ferrell and Adam McKay fan, ever since Anchorman (my favourite film of all time). The Goods starring (God-like genius) Jeremy Piven basically takes the Anchorman template and recycles it to great effect. Utterly hilarious, with a great supporting cast.

A lot of Will Ferrell's movies lately have been pretty dire, but The Goods to me felt like he was passing the torch onto Piven...though with the best cameo i've ever seen, he doesn't do it quietly.

Paranormal Activity
Believe the hype, fucking terrifying. It was right off my radar until the DVDrip showed up on warez-bb the other night, checked the trailer and thought it looked ok.

I'm not easily scared. The only TV/movie to ever deeply scare me was Ghost Watch, which was basically a "real" documentary about a haunted house. Basically there was a brief shot of the show's ghostly figure in the bedroom which you saw from a panning shot...but when the camera quickly moved back to check it ("Pipes") was gone. This utterly rocked me at the age of 10/11. Anyway...

I can't even begin to imagine how chilling it would be to see in the cinema. I don't want to give a single thing away because you deserve to be on edge from start to finish. But I was telling the missus about this film the other day. I showed her the theatrical ending (different/worse than the dvdrip ending) just so she had an idea of the sort of film it was. It was the middle of the day, it was on my laptop, i knew what was coming, and it still gave me a huge fright.

If you see it in the cinema, you will experience genuine fear from people in the same viewing you as you, i guarantee it.

About time we had a topic like this here.

I just watched Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2. I borrowed the DVD's from my friend.

Pretty great movies, and it's kinda weird seeing Edie Murphy swear and act all cool considering for the last 10/15 years all he has been in are children films.

I'm gonna watch the third one soon.

It's been awhile sense I've been to the movie theaters, but I believe the last one I saw was Halloween II (eh it could've been better)
And as for dvd then that would be Jar Head (great movie)
I just saw The Crow: Salvation on tv, not as good as the first one but I still like it.

The last film I watched was Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead. I didn't pay to rent it - I got it through Cinemageddon.

Unfortunately, third time wasn't the charm here. While the first two were great, 3 was terrible. The acting wasn't impressive. The girl from The Hills Run Red is practically only in it to yell at the top of her lungs. The main hillbilly always lives too. It's stupid.

The last movie I saw was "Tell No One" directed by Guillaume Canet. I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it already.
