Hi all. I'm after some help.

When Zero came out I was working a lot. Back then I only got to playing the game on Easy.
As I have a bit more time on my hands these days I thought I'd dig it out and play on Normal.
So I've reached the end. First off. The 5 minute timer. I'm sure that wasn't there on Easy. Anyway I must of played it at least 10 times already and I'm trying to work out what triggers the "daylight kills leech" cutscene.
I've triggered it with the clock at 3.47. Once at 3.00. A few times at around 2.10-2.20. But half the time it doesn't triggerat all. I've even survived all 5 minutes without it triggering.
Does the game look at how much ammo you have left maybe? I got to 1.45 on the clock with only 9 handgun bullets left and no cutscene. Then I died.
I've tried going to the area where the characters are when the cutscene kicks in at various times. No luck.
I've been around a few web sites looking at walkthroughs and none of them go into this at all.
The Gamecube I played the game on originally I don't have any more. Maybe the Wii doesn't like the game/counter?

As I enter the last save room Billy is Fine but Becca in Danger. So I used the herbs on her so they each have a spray when the action starts. But I used all my Magnum ammo on young Marcus. Wish I'd tried to save some and I've been overwriting my save each time so no going back.

Actually I do have another question. In IGN's review of the Japanese Wii version of the game they say the game supports progressive scan "but then, so did the Gamecube version."
Well from what I can gather elsewhere the Cube version doesn't have a progressive scan mode. None of the GC remakes did either. So I'm sure IGN are wrong about this but are they wrong about the Japanese Wii version?
Does it have a progressive scan mode?

Come on guys. No takers?
None of you ever had any problems with the queen leech?
Have any of you ever played it and, like me, at times the "daylight kills queen" cut scene hasn't kicked in?

Rebeccas turns all four of the valve handles, the sun kills the queen, they escape, the game is over.

That's all there is to it, if the ending isn't happening your game is glitched, or something.

Like I said I've finished it on Easy. Got it first time.
On Normal the daylight cutscene doesn't always kick in. Something must trigger it that I'm not doing sometimes.
I've started again on Normal. This time when I get to the end I'll make sure I have a shedload of Magnum ammo and a couple more sprays.

Anybody care to comment on the Japanese Wii version of the game. Does it have progressive scan support? If so I might try the Twilight Hack to enable region free homebrew and try and get a copy.
I'm not aware of any of the old Resi games (ie not RE4) having progressive scan. I find there's a world of difference between S-video and component on my EDTV tube box.

I have played through RE Zero on all difficulties multiple times. The queen ALWAYS dies once Rebecca does all four valve handles.

And I don't know anything about progressive scan, sorry

Well I got it first time this time. Equipped Becca with 6 red/green herbs and Billy had his handgun with about 50 rounds and the Magnum with 32 rounds plus a couple of sprays.
No idea why it wasn't triggering on the first playthrough.
