I think it is. You run around in a third person view, collecting plenty of ammo and killing plenty of zombies. You aim and it switches to a first person view, the shooting reticle controlled by the right stick. You can still move left and right using the left stick. You go about collecting key items and reading files. There is the occassional boss battle. And it ends with an explosion!

What are your views on this?

Resident Evil 4 is gaming perfection.

Dead Aim isn't.

Those're my thoughts.

That's every RE game that has ever been made.

 True Foxy. It was just a testament to how RE: Dead Aim is close to RE4.

Yeah but it's not JUST Resident Evil 4 though. It's akin to saying both games are alike because they have Resident Evil in the title.

I dont know if it was on this site or our old GS location but I wrote a topic talking about how similar some of the elements in Dead Aim were to RE4. Its not a stretch to say some ideas started at this game.

But the comparisons do end there, as Stu said RE4 is a masterpiece and Dead Aim is just average.

Dead Aim just isn't everyone's cup of tea, I suppose.

I enjoyed that game, it's a shame I never got to complete it. . . if only to hear that kick-ass ending theme.

Anyway, I did notice a slew of similarities, but they were mostly small.

But considering RE 4 was in production BEFORE Dead Aim, it's safe to say that Dead Aim's gameplay is modeled after RE 4(the original build) not the other way around.

Dead Aim was perhaps the most awkward of all the games for some odd reason. The box art was very appealing though. I just knew I was getting into something really good. I played it once and will never play it again. Nah,, maybe I'll go pick up another copy just for collection.

I haven't played it yet but i am going to get it someday. I have heard that dead aim was released to see if people liked how capcom was going to change it up a bit.

I did a speedrun on dead aim and i gotta say- the game is short as hell. Finished it in 38mins  Oh and there is no replay value.
