I don't know, well, I do know for a fact that CoD is a casual first-person shooter. There's no real skill or talent involved, in all fairness I haven't played enough Halo to warrant a strong opinion but it comes across as just another shooter to me. TF2 on the other hand I do have a lot of experience with, I'm hoping to get involved in 6v6 competitive play at some point. I just need to do more training as the Medic class, which is where I specialise.

That's another thing about TF2, while many FPS titles have class-based multiplayer, the classes have very little to differentiate them from each other. Just different weapon loadouts and abilities but even then it's similar, look at Killzone 3 for example. In TF2, each class has varying health amounts, entirely different weapons, unique playstyles, etc and they're all dependent on each other. It's easy to identify the CoD refugee free-to-play users as they tend to play as Sniper, as camping is all they know. Plus, Sniper is probably the most useless class in the game. Pretty much everything they can do can be done far more effectively by the Spy, e.g. taking out sentries, eliminating heavies, etc.

Back on topic. I've never owned a 360 but if I do acquire one in the future I certainly plan on buying ODST, which to be fair is the only Halo game that interests me. But you have a long way to go to convincing me, Yama!

Tell you what, let's compromise on saying that CoD is shit.

I'm already an internet cunt, but I believe we've established that!

Sniper is nothing like Spy. Spy's can only take out unaware players and generally suck against good players. Good snipers can kill good players and lock down areas of the map, while spies require a distraction to accomplish much of anything.

I respectfully disagree. Snipers are a very contextual class, they work best at certain situations but I wouldn't consider them a wholly necessary part of the team. Spies don't need a distraction to kill people, they're exceptional at hampering an entire enemy push if the team lacks a Pyro doing spychecking.

If there's an enemy sentry ahead, it's far more effective to send in a good spy player who can shut it down with a sapper and take out the engineer, as opposed to a sniper taking all day trying to line up shots to destroy it, even longer if it's manned by an engineer. In addition, snipers require a straight line of fire, which is map-specific. Like I said, very contextual. Spies are simply far more versatile. If you have the decent aim to be a sniper, just play scout. Far more useful class.

That said, people do underestimate the sniper, spy and pyro classes.

I perfer games that have depth and skill gap. Fact is, any good Halo player can go on B.O. and completely go off. Any COD kid who comes on Halo gets destroyed and butt hurt. One game has skill gap, execution and mind games, the other is a.d.d. instant gratification.

Wong likes B.O., but I'm sure he and every other knowledgeable individual with some experience in both will attest to this.

And a double rolly eyes for saying anything Halo related, as if it can hold a candle to something like C.E. Hilarious stuff right here.

Unfortunatly my I've played every Halo since the first one and same for CoD, both series have had their good and bad multiplayers with CE and CoD4 being the best of each respectively.

It's easy to rag on CoD because of Activisions milk-policy on it and depending on the game, things like noob-tubing, quickscoping and everyone using Ghost, but to say Halo is any better? No. I don't see how everyone using the same noob-combo Plasma Pistol/Magnum or run at each other directly with Assault Rifles and melee or Rocket Whoring is 'skill'.

There's no skill in either game series especially since both have sticky aim, I just suggest Black Ops and CoD over anything Halo because it has a tonne of customisation, content and general fun-factor and I'm a military-shooter type-o' guy.

I played CE and Halo 2 multiplayer to the death, so don't lump me with the average CoD player.

Finally was able to get a clip uploaded after fooling around trying to figure it out. This is the sort of things I can do with BO, I'm not sure if it's the whole holding your breath or what but I can't do this in Reach. I've also noticed that Reach while a bit more tactile is somewhat slower paced than CoD.

Mind you this is just a 30 second clip but I'm a very effective sniper and all around above average player.

Then you should recollect those wonderful memories and remember that competitive Halo play was straight Pistol and BR's, nothing more nothing less. AR spam is an absolute joke and would get demolished respectively in both games by anyone competent. Insane set ups, trickery and even BXR's and the like take immense amounts of skill.

I promise if you joined one of my rooms and played some competitive 'non-dirty' Reach, you'd love it. DMR/Pistol, MLG physics, smaller competitive maps. It's seriously a great game when done right, something Anniversary looks to be fixing.

I find Halo: Reach extremely frustrating to play online and don't try to anymore. I loved Halo 3 multiplayer, still my favourite multiplayer game. Reach just seems like dirty tactics all the time, camping, armor locking. Right shame cos Halo 3 was epic.
