OooH! *Raises hand* I have a question. How does the presentation look, and how's the graphics? From the recent screen shots, it doesn't look good as RE5. Just seems like there's less shading and textures (maybe that's just for the main RE characters and not Wolfpack themselves).

(I'm just thinking outloud now). I think RE:ORC can add to RE2 and 3's story and (potentially) not ruin the canon story because there's a lot of Raccoon City that the players can't seen back in RE2&3 and the cutscenes (say, of Hunk stealing the G virus back in RE2 when Annette Birkin was telling it) feel like it jumped around a bit, leaving out certain parts. And having different ending's (depending whether or not you decide to kill Leon I'm guessing) isn't something new to RE, but only one ending is taken as canon. And of course, today's technology can allow developers to create better and more involved scenes to enhance the feel of the game compared to back when RE2 and 3 were developed.

The graphics are good but as good as RE5? I'm afraid not. RE5 looked amazing and it's a tough act to follow for any game. Admittedly, ORC didn't look as dynamic but it didn't look terrible either. I think any footage found online often doesn't do it justice, it looks much nicer when playing it. But I didn't find myself fawning over any backgrounds or amazed ay much detail. At the same time didn't notice anything wrong either, nothing seemed unaesthetic. I guess a fair judgement would be that the graphics are "ok" or "not bad".

I totally agree with you about the story theory! Yeah it looks like it can add to the already known story elements without altering them, along with having at least two different endings. One ending that can be expected and canon where the other goes in a totally unexpected and non-canon way. Makes you think just how important Leon and Clair are and what could have been if they didn't survive RE2... hmm!

I can overlook graphics because the game was designed for online co-op and multiplayer. saves you from crazy amounts of lag/glitches.

I agree! Especially if ORC is going to have a focus on multiplayer, then lag is one issue I cannot stand. If graphics have to take a hit, then so be it!

Mm, that's a good point. Had not thought of that.

Capcom-Unity has just posted some pics of the event here in San Francisco! You can see a few of the folks that attended came in cosplay, pretty cool. You can also see the winning team with their ORC jackets and more!

I wish I could say it was me wearing the jacket in those pics but alas no. It doesn't look like I'm in any of the pics featured, so I manage to remain... mysterious! *vanishes in a puff of smoke*!!!
