I don't know but I have a striking feeling that RE6 will be delayed, according to the producers RE6 has been in development for several years and until last month, it was 50% complete! Furthermore I guess they will show Damnation before 6 if the speculations on Damnation were right.

For a moment there, you had me. I thought you had a Capcom source hinting at a possible delay.

There's always a chance a game will be delayed, but I wouldn't base things on the percentage of game completion alone. There's no way to tell if the 50 percent completed is the most difficult and time consuming portion of development or not.

Personally, I don't think it's going to be delayed because they had a release date almost a year ahead, meaning it's all been planned. Revelations was 70% complete last September, that was 4 months before the release, so it's not far fetched as it may sound.

The slowest progress is behind us now. Rendering models, voice acting, cutscenes. All that stuff takes forever and they're all done. This next 50% is going to go by very quickly.

It seems to be a Classic Capcom thing to delay a RE game, but Honestly, at E3 last year RE ORC was, what was it 60% done? But that game needed more useless crap so i can understand why that was delayed

RE6 probably took so long to make because they were trying to make a truly good story line, and new ideas ect.

Think about it like this, all CoD games take 1 year to make, they also don't
a. change the controlls
b. change the gaming engine
c. make it actually good

RE6 will probably be the same engine as RE5, but because of MT Framework it will probably have slightly worse graphics than RE5, but all in all it shouldn't have to be delayed, unless all data is deleted off of their super computer by accident

Also rendering can take a while, but that's only 50% of the work, so it shouldn't take long, but then again the part on The Incredible where Mr. Incredible reaches his hand through his ripped outfit took 2-3 months to render, but there were so many complex movements in that shot, some on the easiest thing to render seen like they take forever to render, but they take a couple of hours

As long as there is quality to the plot and the atmosphere, I'm okay with it being delayed. Just don't cram unnecessary crap in and make into a jumbled mess.
