I don't like Nicholai, never have and thought he was just an "acceptable" villain. He wasn't my cup of tea. Wesker was much better.

And he's still much better

I originally thought that Nicholai was in RE4 until Krauser's name was revealed.
Also, some still believe it is Nicholai's voice on the phone in the epilogue to Outbreak 1.
Its probably true that he is dead but it has never still been confirmed.

I don't like Nicholai because he's a bad, uninteresting character. That's all.

I don't think he could carry the series, like Birkin or Wesker could have. But as an extra baddie, I suppose he's proven to be quite worthy. I don't know if they intend to use him again. Last appearance outside of canon was Outbreak. Although they liked him enough to have him in the second movie based on the franchise, so it's possible he could return.

Nicholai , he would definitely make the next best villian in the series. Definitely agree, they can go either way since you had choices to kill him or let him escape. Anyways , i'm having major problems fighting hte Nemisis on hard mode.
