Watched a whole bunch of films this weekend...the missus being away has some great advantage! haha

Hitch, Starship Troopers, Dead Man Running, The Firm (football hooligan, not the one from back in the day) and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Can't be bothered to rant on about them all, but Dead Man Running is a great film if you like corny British gangster movie with predictable twists, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of my favourite films of all time.

Did you enjoy Starship Troopers Stu?

Nice. I'm curious, did you like The Phantom Menace, or just first time watching it?

I think it definitely could have been much better, but I like it for what it is, and I think it added greatly to the saga. So I like the film.

I watched the movies when I was younger and dumber, however since I wasn't a major nerd at that time I wasn't really into the story, so I didn't follow the movie THAT closely. I really like it. It's entertaining. Besides, it's important to, say, re-read a book/re-watch a movie as you get older, because it changes your perspective completely.

Just watched We are marshall. Really great movie, done well and did have quite a bit of emotion in it. I previously avoided watching it due to terrible reviews in Rotten tomatoes..just goes to show you go out and watch it yourself, no pissant reviewer should change a game nor a movie for you. Alot of people I have met who do review things are self important, of course not all of them, but just goes to show you...

Anyways, The hurt locker was amazing as well. Got to be one of my favorites of the year, one of the better war movies in my book, although nothing has been better than Apocalypse now to me.

I agree with that so much. I saw Saving Private Ryan as a kid, and pretty much everything story related went over my head, and only really paid attention to the battle scenes, then I rewatched it a few weeks back and it was like a whole new movie. So much more to it.

Glad you like the new Star Wars movies. I hate it when people that whine about them not being as good as the old ones. I think they are pretty good in their own right. And I especially enjoyed 2 and 3.

Saw Max Payne again. Apparently I felt the need to torture myself.

I watched a couple movies last night. Carriers which was a pretty decent movie although there were only a few encounters throughout the movie. And I watched 12 Rounds, which was an ok movie, nothing extraordinary, but decent in it's own right.

Ooh we're watching Carriers tomorrow i think.

We watched three films today. Dead Man Running again because my mate Georgia hadn't seen it.

And then Couples Retreat and 500 Days Of Summer, both completely amazing rom-coms. Vince Vaughn can do no wrong in my eyes, one of the best comedy actors of all time.

So I watched this film called Witness, by Peter Weir. Harrison Ford is so great in it, he's great in everything. Probably one of the only actors I really like.

It's about this Amish mother and her child. On a trip to the city, they witness a murder, and Harrison Ford is the cop assigned to figure it all out. Ford gets shot by Danny Glover, hot Amish lady takes him into her home till he gets better, romance begins, Glover try's to find Ford, and so on. Fantastic film. Everyone should watch it.
