Yeah MGS4 has some questionable retcons. It was to much of an amalgamation of the rest of the series and not enough of its own unique self. I like to forget it exists. I'm scared to play Peace Walker.

I can tell you from personal experience, Peace Walker is a godsend.

He does everything. Lets me get in. Gives me crazy post-knockdown mixup. Blocks incoming attacks. Shoots lazers. Single greatest fighting game move ever. I could go on all day about how he's blue or about how you can mix and match 2 of any 4 versions for each attack, or how he looks more like some kind of cross between a piranha plant and a clam, but I wont bore you with that.

Probably just keep it simple and go with Drake from Uncharted, but i think that's down mostly to how well voiced the character is and how well he pulls off his lines.
