So its up, and its awesome.

at first i was really disappointed, I mean I guess I hoped to see what I'd be using in the tutorial and really the game was gears with a brighter sci-fi..er, look and a boost system. Once I actually got to the business of playing the actual level things changed real fast. just as Bayonetta was a big mesh of different ideas used in games previously developed by members of platinum, so too is Vanquish borrowing elements, and the result is a big ole man-gasm of awesome. I'm pretty impressed by how much faster then every other TPS it is and how much it adds to the formula by adding elements from action games like DMC and Bayonetta. Thats not to say its perfect theres tearing everywhere and a jump button is sorely missed. the controls also take a bit of getting used to since a bunch games use A as opposed to X (or X as opposed to Square) to take cover.

Overall very excited to play the game next month.

Nina pointed that out and the 2nd time I played the demo I found the sniper rifle, got about 40 kills, no deaths, and less then 12 friendlies died.

3rd run I wanted to see how far the weapons upgraded. I lost count after 15. Also I realized that grenades upgrade too to have a bigger radius, more splash damage and even go farther.

The demo is amazing. Mikami never fails to impress me :mikami:

Very nice and intuitive controls. The action is frantic and very arcade-like with some solid visuals and frame rate to boot.

Surprisingly after the Bayonetta fiasco, the two versions are pretty much identical. Same res and AA, though the 360 one may be using soft v-sync.

The two versions are pretty much identical:

Checking out the vid at Eurogamer, the frame rate is on the level too with occasional drops. So ultimately, it's down to controller preference.

I'm leaning towards getting this based on the boss fights alone. Fighting giant robots is never dull in my book.

Looks like that using PS3 as lead platform really helps the multiplatform development, I wish more developers could be like Mikami.
Honestly I don't know which version I'll be getting because they're pretty much identical, but I've barely touched my PS3 since I bought myself the new 360 S model, so...
