Except that RE4 is the best RE game and not only that its one of the greatest games ever made. If Capcom's idea of remixing old school RE with new school is making the action suck I don't want that. You can keep the action intense while solving puzzles and exploring.

This. If they can't do that then they suck at making games, period. Well, I'm sure they are capable of it, but I'm also sure they will stay the safe route and continue to make the games for the masses instead of being bold and taking it down the road you mentioned Dave. And I don't mean one damn puzzle that anyone with a heartbeat could solve, bring it back to the at least harder puzzles.

RE4 best RE game? Don't kid yourselves.

No game can top the perfectness of REmake in terms of true survival horror, what RE is really about. RE4 is an excellent game that revived the series, no denial, but it took it so far away from its roots that I don't really consider it a proper Biohazard, at all, just like RE5. Though that's my opinion of course!

A mix of action, horror and puzzle solving in a good balance is the way to go. RE4/5 action was too much, but I hope Revelations has more than 2/3 of those regenerator-like enemies and its other variations per room. I saw zombies earlier, where are they now? There should be corridors full of them, like in the old games.

Guys guys, you're clearly missing the point here.

Besides, everyone knows Outbreak File # 2 is the best.

I definetely agree that RE4 is not the best RE Game. but on that decision, im not really sure which one is the best, so you go on and keep thinking it is STU.

The older Resident Evil games felt so static when compared to Resident Evil’s 4 & 5. I noticed that those who are new to the series felt that RE4 was both a survival horror, eerie and action game equally. An old roommate of mines told me that RE4 scared the shit out of him. I couldn't believe anyone could be spooked by that game..(not the game as a whole, but different areas/encounters/enemies.etc..

But, I have to remember, this is coming from someone who has never played the Silent Hill series or any RE titles, prior to RE4. Our fears have been desensitized by RE's 0, Original, Remake, 2, 3 and Code Veronica along with the Silent Hill series. So when we play games like RE4 and RE5 of course they don't freak us out. We can thank our experiences for that. And I when I say "our/we" I am referring to veterans of the series, not post RE:CVX fans.

Then they need to re-evaluate their definition of survival horror.

I started on CVX. Which am I.

Also, didn't find any part of 4 or 5 to be scary.I agree with Stu, re-evaluation is required.

Biohazard 4, splitting the Biohazard community since 2005 and making for endless discussion banter.
