We've had a thread, it still lurks around half-alive. I'm wondering if the community would favor an Off Topic forum? Somewhere to throw around random topics in a less reserved manner and simply have a good time. Our General Discussion is predominately gaming related, so perhaps a separate forum would be best. If you feel you would use it and contribute, please vote. As most of you know, I used to moderate on GameSpot and was often found in the Off Topic forum. In it's prime with the right people, it was a good time. I'd be up for something similar, but ultimately the community will decide.

That's pretty much what i always thought the General Discussion board to be really, then the off-topic thread just to be for general non-thread worthy shit.

Spam whores? Here? What? I think I'm with Stu on this, that's what I saw the General Discussion board as. Aside from the fact that if we have an entire forum dedicated to it and the thread that it occupies now is half-alive, I'm not sure the forum would fair any better.

It could fair quite differently though. Throwing something in a cluttered thread isn't half as appealing as a forum itself. More so, the General forum would be cleaned up and specific to games only. It'd go a little something like Gaming Discussion | Off Topic, it'd be easier to go through things seeing as it all wouldn't be thrown together in one forum.

Well, I guess in all honesty it wouldn't be a bad idea, if it didn't go well it could be removed as easily as it was installed. May as well give it a shot.

Agreed. Wouldn't harm anything to have one. Plus it would reduce some of the clutter. So I say go for it.
