1) For the third time in series history, North American gamers received the game before Japanese gamers did.
 

2) For the first time in series history, the title screen was different between the North American and Japanese versions. The North American version features Leeches, while the Japanese version features Billy and Rebecca with the church in the background.
 

3) In the North America in early 2003, Resident Evil Zero was offered free with the purchase of a Nintendo GameCube in early 2003.
 

4) In Japan in August 2003, biohazard zero was re-released along with the GameCube editions of biohazard, Biohazard 2, Biohazard 3: Last Escape and Biohazard CODE: Veronica in the compilation set, Biohazard Collector’s Box, which cost 19800 Yen.

 

5) In Japan in December 2004, biohazard zero was re-released along with the GameCube edition of biohazard in the bundle pack, biohazard DOUBLE FEATURE, which also contained a demo of biohazard 4.
