1) This marks the first game in series history not to be released initially on a PlayStation platform.
 

2) This marks the first time that a limited edition release accompanied the main release. The limited edition contained a unique red slipcase with a gold angel on it.
 

3) CODE: Veronica was the first game in the main saga to contain fully 3D polygonal backgrounds, while Gun Survivor was the first game to be fully 3D.
 

4) This marks the third time in series history in which a Biohazard game was re-released with added features on the same platform as the original version.

 

5) In Japan, this was the second Biohazard game to be released on the Dreamcast. In North America, this was the first Resident Evil game to be released on the Dreamcast.

 

6) In Japan, the gap between CODE: Veronica and the prequel game, Gun Survivor, is the shortest in series history, at eight days.

 

7) If one were to count only main series releases, then the gap between CODE: Veronica and its main series prequel, Biohazard 3: Last Escape, which stands at around five months, is shortest in series history. However, the gap for North America between Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and CODE: Veronica is even shorter, at three and a half months.
 

8) In Japan, CODE: Veronica was released after Gun Survivor, while Survivor was released after CODE: Veronica. Likewise, in Japan, the Dreamcast version of Biohazard 2 Value Plus was released before CODE: Veronica, while the Dreamcast version of Resident Evil 2 was released after CODE: Veronica in North America.
 

9) A demo of CODE: Veronica was released within Biohazard 2: Value Plus for the Dreamcast. It included the first part of the game and concluded with Claire’s arrival in the Private Residence, much earlier than in the final version.

 

10) Claire and Chris-designed Dreamcast systems were released in Japan alongside the game. This has been the only time in NTSC series history when Biohazard-themed Dreamcast systems were released. However, there is a GameCube system in Europe with a Resident Evil 4 faceplate design.

 

11) This game, as well as its subsequent re-releases, is the only main game in the series not to have a number affixed to it.
