INTERESTING FACTS

1) Deadly Silence marks the 5th release of the original Resident Evil/Biohazard in both North America and Japan, and 6th release if the GameCube remake is considered. The Nintendo DS is the third platform the game has appeared on, or fourth if the remake is considered.
 

2) In Japan, this is the second portable Biohazard game, and the third portable Resident Evil game in North America.

 

3) None of the Sega Saturn, Director’s Cut or Director’s Cut Dual Shock features have made it to Deadly Silence, with the exception of Beginner Mode.
 

4) Beginner Mode must be accessed using a secret button code in the main menu. Beginner Mode save files are highlighted in green.

 

5) For the third time in series history, gamers are able to play with or against each other. For the first time in series history, gamers can play with each other locally.
 

6) Deadly Silence was ported to the Nintendo DS using a 128MB or 1gb Nintendo DS cartridge, the largest DS media capacity available, and twice the size of the Nintendo 64 version of Biohazard 2/Resident Evil 2.

 

7) For the first time in the original game, not counting the GameCube remake, cut-scenes may be skipped, and the automatic turn is available by pressing down and B.
 

8) For the first time in the original game, the knife can be quick accessed and does not take up inventory space. This was first seen in biohazard 4/Resident Evil 4.
 

9) Deadly Silence is the second time the original game has been available outside the home. Korean cellphones received a port of Biohazard Director’s Cut in 2005.
 

10) Deadly Silence features subtitles in the North American version, a second for the series. The reason is for gamers to understand what is going on in crowded places with prohibited sound.

 

11) Some of the files were grammatically improved in order to be clearer or match the GameCube remake more accurately.
 

12) There is an extra Yawn boss in Rebirth Mode.
