1840 -1860 RE4 – CASTELLAN MEMO The wealthy Salazar family take over an ancient castle in a rural region of Spain. But they are to create a dark ancestry. A powerful religious group inhabits deep roots in the region called the Los Illuminados. Their power comes in the form of an ancient parasite they have discovered which is able to take over and manipulate its host. They name it ‘Las Plaga’. Their religion believes that a special individual could harness the power of the plaga and use it to create an army of drones which would be under their control and thus would create a world free of sin. RE4 – INCUBATE The very first Castellan, Lord Salazar, is a good man with a strong sense of justice whom protects the people of the local village. It is because of his protection the villagers can continue to live their lives in relative peace and harmony. He also teaches Paganism across the local area. RE4 – CASTELLAN MEMO The first Castellan of the Salazar Empire feels threatened by the Los Illuminados and their beliefs and so promptly removes all their rights and powers. The Las Plagas are sealed up in ancient caves located deep under the castle foundations where it is hoped they will die out. Without their power source, the Los Illuminados group gradually begin to lose their influence over the region. In time, the Salazar family would continue to prosper and the parasites themselves would apparently expire and become fossilised within the rocks of their cavernous prison deep underground. 1860-1880 RE-ARCHIVES RECVX- MESSAGE TO NEW FAMILY MASTER The prestigious Ashford family is founded with the birth of Veronica. As time goes by, her intelligence and beauty would become legendary and her greatness would be honoured by her descendants to the present day. A family tradition is also begun when the family butler presents Veronica with a golden teacup as a commemorative gift. Upon her death, her body is mummified and kept in the European home of Alexander Ashford, whom would become the sixth head of the Ashford family. Genetic material from her corpse would be the basis for the Code Veronica project. 1880-1900 RE-ARCHIVES RECVX – MESSAGE TO NEW FAMILY MASTER Stanley Ashford becomes the second generation head of the Ashford family. Like Veronica before him, he too is presented with a golden teacup. He is the father of twins Thomas and Arthur who would both have turns as head of the family.
